JINGLE RAILS OPENS SATURDAY, NOV.  22, AT THE EITELJORG MUSEUM
The museum's annual train exhibit was recently named a top holiday attraction by USA Today's 10 Best.
 

WHAT:     Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure, presented by Indiana Railroad Company, opens at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Families will experience an amazing adventure through a locomotive wonderland, filled with imaginative local and American West landscapes created from natural materials like leaves, twigs, mushrooms and bark. Highlights of Jingle Rails include:

  • Eight ultra-sized G-scale/gauge model trains
  • Nearly 1,200 feet of track
  • 13 overhead walk-under bridges
  • Working waterfall feature
  • More than 30 structures, including:
    • Indianapolis’ Soldiers and Sailors Monument
    • Lucas Oil Stadium
    • The Indiana State Fair
    • OneAmerica Tower
    • Chase Tower
    • IPL Building
    • Mt. Rushmore
    • The Grand Canyon
    • Yosemite National Park and the Ahwahnee Hotel
    • Aspen resort scene with working chair lift
    • Golden Gate Bridge
    • Yellowstone National Park and the Yellowstone Inn
    • Old Faithful (lodge and geyser)

Scenes from the old West, including Western towns and Native American dwellings.
