Employees who work 20 to 29 hours per week are also offered paid time off and retirement benefits.

Membership Intern/Volunteer

  • Date(s):  October 19, 2017 – November 10, 2017
  • Time:  10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Intern needed to sell memberships during the busy holiday season to capitalize on our Jingle Rails visitors from Nov. 18 – Jan. 15, 2018.  Need is greatest on weekends; a few days during the week.

  • Some college and / or previous experience with membership or marketing.
  • Friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented.
  • Good organizational skill and willingness to be flexible.
  • Basic computer skills.

Major Responsibilities:

Work at the Eiteljorg Museum entrance to explain the benefits of becoming a member vs. paying a one-time admission to visitors before they reach the admissions desk. Help them fill out the membership form that can later be given to the desk staff. (Training will be given on this procedure).

Work with the Guest Services staff to manage members-only museum times and members-only express lines, during the Jingle Rails exhibition.

Other office work in down times such as stuffing membership renewals, invitations, or helping with events.

This is an unpaid internship/volunteer opportunity.

Promote membership sales proactively to visitors and assist with other museum special events as needed.
