The Eiteljorg Museum presents the premiere performance by Mezzo soprano Kathryn Findlen and pianist Robert Brewer of composer Kenneth Frazelle’s work Songs of Clay and Stone. The song lyrics and music honor Nampeyo, the matriarch of Hopi pottery, the landscape of New Mexico and Chaco Canyon and the forces of weather which sculpted it. Guests will enjoy projected images of photographer Edward S. Curtis during the performance.

The program will also include insights by Eiteljorg curators on the works of Nampeyo and Edward S. Curtis, and highlight Nampeyo and related pottery on exhibit in the museum’s Native American galleries.

A cash bar will be available. Event fee includes admission to the museum.
