Ansel Adams Exhibit

Ansel Adams showcases 75 photographs personally chosen by the late Ansel Adams to represent the best of his life’s work. Referred to as The Museum Set, these images were selected for exhibition throughout the country and are on loan from the collection of The Capital Group Foundation. The exhibition includes many of Adams most famous and best-loved photographs, including architectural studies, portraits and magnificent landscapes.

Mark B. Pohlad will examine many of the works in the Ansel Adams exhibition considering locale, the challenges Adams faced in making them, and their relation to Adams’ biography and to American history. Pohlad’s descriptions will help viewers fully appreciate these important works by America’s most renowned photographer.
Mark B. Pohlad, teaches the history of photography, American art and modern art at DePaul University and is the dean for the general education program.
Guests will get their last chance to enjoy Ansel Adams,
the most-attended exhibit in the Eiteljorg’s 25-year history. A special exhibit closing party kicks off at 5 p.m. and goes until midnight. Visitors can experience Ansel Adams,
plus the contemporary, Native and Western galleries, while hearing live beats from DJ Kyle Long. Eats and drinks will include free Eiteljorg munchies, food trucks and a cash bar.
