The Operatic West (Myths and Realities of the 19th Century West) - A collaboration with the Indianapolis Opera

On March 8, vice president and chief curatorial officer James Nottage, Indianapolis Opera’s artistic director James Caraher and guest stage director John Hoomes will speak about the reality of the west in the 19th and early 20th century.

The Eiteljorg worked with the Indianapolis Opera to host a screening of the 1938 version of David Belasco's, "The Girl of the Golden West," on February 15. *Screening included with admission. For more details click here.

The Indianapolis Opera will also premiere a performance of Puccini's, "The Girl of the Golden West," on March 21 and 23 at Butler University's Clowes Memorial Hall.
