Live Demonstration Dates: November 9, 16 & 23 between 1 – 4 p.m.
Santo Domingo Pueblo artist, Lorenzo Tafoya, and his wife Mary combine their artistic talents to create unique, traditional and contemporary jewelry. These skills were acquired at an early age from their parents. Lorenzo’s parents versed him in silversmithing, lapidary work, and jewelry design, while Mary’s background is in handmade turquoise and shell heishe work, long recognized by all as the traditional arts of the Santo Domingo Pueblo artists.
Meet Lorenzo and Mary, learn about their art and culture, and watch jewelry-making demonstrations on three Saturdays in the month of November.
