Leadership: The Agave Board consists of a committed group of 12 volunteers who set the course for the auxiliary, determine how the group will function, set goals for the coming year and take the lead on initiatives. Board members can expect to attend monthly meetings and take individual responsibility for one of the focus areas listed below. We ask that the Agave Board Chair makes a two-year commitment to the group, and Agave Board members make a one-year commitment to the group.

Committee Members: To be truly successful, Agave needs a committed pool of volunteers available to execute activities in support of our mission.

All Agave members focus on the following areas:

     Agave recruitment
     • Developing and executing strategy to help Agave meet its membership and fundraising goals

     Event planning
     • Organizing and promoting Agave events through collaborations with other arts organizations, and planning Agave’s sponsored event during the Eiteljorg Museum Fellowship for Native American Art in November 2011

     Volunteer recruitment
     • Helping to assemble a committed team of volunteers for museum events including Indian Market & Festival, Quest for the West and Buckaroo Bash.

     Community relations
     • Assisting Agave in establishing relationships with community organizations and other young professionals groups
