Seven community members to serve as advisors

INDIANAPOLIS—The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art’s Board of Directors has welcomed a slate of new community members from various backgrounds and disciplines to its Board of Advisors. The newly-elected members began serving a two-year term on July 1, 2015, and will serve in an active role of governance and support for the institution. They are:

Charles Blair, head of Charles Blair Associates, a consultancy specializing in strategic planning, community relations, lobbying, minority affairs and fund development

Wendy Cooper, Senior Special Projects Manager at Insight Development Corporation, the not-for-profit arm of the Indianapolis Housing Agency

Ontay Johnson, Executive Director of 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc., an organization devoted to developing and enhancing opportunities for youth in Central Indiana

John Myrland, Senior Vice President and Community Engagement Executive at Old National Bank where he works to cultivate strategic relationships with the community

Todd Pedersen, Vice President Corporate Affairs, Interactive Intelligence, a global provider of business communications and call center solutions

Chris Trede, Senior Vice President at American Funds Service Company, and General Manager at Indianapolis American Funds Service facility, for more than 25 years

Ahmed Young, Associate in the Litigation Group and Education Law Group at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, specializing in commercial litigation and professional licensing issues

Ben Young (Haida), local cultural leader and Social Studies teacher at Chapel Hill Seventh and Eighth Grade Center.
